Background

Dr. Rosemeire Santos-Teachout, DDS, MS, is the Dansville Family Dental Care Dentist who makes every smile unique. Her impeccable background, training, and reputation reflect her dedication to dental excellence.

Dr. Teachout was born in Brazil and received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1992 from Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil, one of the most reputable and well-known clinical and research Dental programs in the State of Minas Gerais. After receiving her bachelor’s, she worked in her private practice and community dental clinic. She also researched “Antibody response to gum disease pathogens in individuals with Down syndrome.

Education

Initially, Dr. Teachout came to the United States of America to develop a research project on Oral Evaluation in Down Syndrome Individuals at The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. Later, she graduated with a General practice residency from The Ohio State University in 1996, a Master’s in Science Degree from The Ohio State University in 1997, and an Advanced General Dentistry Residency program from the University of Rochester, Eastman Dental Center, New York in 1998. Dr. Teachout worked for Sister Rene Community Clinic, Hornell, from 1999 till she set up her private practice in Dansville in 2001.

Publications

Dr. Teachout has dedicated herself to providing superior and quality dental services to families for 25 years. Dr. Teachout is recognized and invited worldwide, including by The World Health Organization, to lecture about “Oral Care for Individuals with Developmentally Disabilities” through the University of Rochester. She is also known for her Publications in textbooks, articles, and various presentations.

Dr. Teachout strives to provide her patients with the highest standard of care and quality of work by using the latest techniques, technology, and materials in dentistry today. Recently, Dr. Teachout received Associate and a Bachelor of Ministry Degrees from Nation-to-Nation Christian University, sponsored by her home church “Celebrate Family Church,” Leicester, NY, under the leadership of Pastor Eric Scott.

Her kind and gentle way of delivering dentistry has won her a loyal patient following. Her faith and mission to console her patients’ souls as she cares for their oral health makes her a unique dentist.
